Connie's Story

Prior to starting her own business, Connie spent over twenty-five years in the telecommunications industry as a change agent in many functional areas including: Information Technology, marketing, procurement, strategic planning, and sales operations. She managed multiple large teams with a focus on improving processes and policies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Most recently, Connie served twelve years as Co-Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Trees Atlanta, a nonprofit organization dedicated to planting and conserving Metro-Atlanta’s urban forest. In this role she was responsible for fundraising, finance, marketing, special events, and the oversight of educational programming. During her tenure, she raised over $17 million through Capital Campaigns, quadrupled annual operating revenue, and dramatically expanded the capacity to grow programming. One of her proudest moments was the completion of a new, state-of-the-art headquarters building in southwest Atlanta which opened in early 2023.

Connie served on the Trees Atlanta board for ten years; five of which she was President and has also served on the EarthShare of Georgia board. She has been a mentor for multiple business women through the Pathbuilders program and was named to Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Who’s Who in Sustainability. In 2023 she was chosen by Urban Land Institute as one of six "Women In Leadership ChangeMakers" for her efforts in elevating communities. She has advised organizations throughout North America on best practices in co-leadership. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University and loves exploring the world through her travels across all seven continents.
